Who We Are

Cherished Youth is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization meeting our youth where they are either in the community or in their homes. We go where the youth are! We provide services for youth 5th-12th grade. Our programs are geared around the 3 C's CONNECTIONS, CONTRIBUTIONS and COMMUNITY. Studies show that when youth feel connected they have a higher success rate and a lower rate of drug and alcohol abuse, reduced contact with the judicial system, lower suicide rates and promote better overall mental health. Also, when youth CONTRIBUTE their time and services, it builds character, teach life skill and they realize their passions, but most importantly they learn work ethics and gain the confidence they need to become leaders. Lastly, the COMMUNITY is vital to the development of our youths personal and social identity. That's why we create an environment that provide a positive experience with peers and influential adults. We understand the importance of empowering our youth and creating opportunities for them to be successful using community resources, local businesses, government officials and other support services.
